616 MULTICULTURAL AND GENDER FAIR POLICY

The school district, in order to assure that curriculum developed for use in district schools establishes and maintains an educational program in which students and staff gain an appreciation and understanding of: 1. The cultural diversity of the United States and reflects the wide range of contributions by and roles open to Americans of all races and cultures; 2. The historical and contemporary contributions of women and men to society reflects the wide range of contributions by and roles open to American men and women; 3. The historical and contemporary contributions to society by disabled persons and reflects the wide range of contributions by and roles open to disabled Americans.
