506 STUDENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The board believes that genuine student involvement requires responsible student action which is possible if students are guaranteed certain basic rights, among which are the following: 1. The right to free inquiry and expression. 2. The right to due process. 3. The right to freedom of association. 4. The right to freedom of peaceful assembly and petition. 5. The right to freedom from discrimination. 6. The right to equal educational opportunity.
